I am very disappointed with this hotel.
I am very disappointed with this hotel. I arrived at 0.30 a.m. and the hotel was closed and no one opened for me. It was not stated on booking.com or on the hotel's website that the reception is closed from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. and it is not possible to check in. It was also stated on the website that it is possible to cancel the reservation free of charge, but they charged me 49 euros for nothing and I had to find another hotel in the night and pay for it!. Wuppertal is a beautifull city surrounded by hills.
Wuppertal is a beautifull city surrounded by hills. The city is mostly known for the Schwebebahn. A hanging train that goes through the city as a metro but hangs mostly above the Wupper river. The city center is large and offers a lot of nice stores and restaurants. Located next to Wuppertal is Solingen a city known for the Haribo candy factory and knifes factories (hence the name Solinger knives). Take a ride along the Schwebebahn to Wuppertal Vohwinkel, you will pass the Wuppertal Zoo and stadion. From Vohwinkel take the Trolleybus line 683 to Solingen and you will pass along Haribo factory and different museums.

The only plus point for Wuppertal is the unique Scwebebahn suspended monorail. Well worth a ride. The place itself has deprived and dilapidated post industrial vibe, with older retired heavy industry workers and younger immigrants from all over. A fair amount of drunken/drugged indigents on the streets of the city centre.

Well if you are interested in Countryside and History then...
Well if you are interested in Countryside and History then this valley of Wupper is a great place to visit. The industrial beginnings of Modern Germany pretty much starts here. We came because the suspension railway was on my bucket list. It really is a sensational marvel. We will probably come back... Even if it wasn't for this memorable trip on the Schwebebahn the town has hills and museums, an opera house and a good zoo. Oh the food is good too, try the X Kebab, a wonderful modern twist on Turkish cuisine served by the friendliest of staff...

Wuppertal schwebebahn is an awesome cheap way to explore the city. There is a lot to see and also great places to eat, like Hans im Gluck and L'Osteria and also good hiking opportunities in the surrounding hills.

The hotel was very quite even though the train passed by our window every few minutes. The shower is great, very warm water and very clean. There were also great drapes which made it very dark in the room (great for tired travelers who want to rest during daytime). The staff were nice and helpful as well.AngelinaPoland

Right near the main train statin, which is also where all bus lines start, so you're literally mere meters away from a bunch of city buses as soon as you walk out of the hotel. The famous hanging train is a 5 min walk from the hotel. Rooms are very nice. Beds are excellent. Street is noisy with all those city buses coming and going, but once you close the triple glazed windows it is virtually inaudible. Breakfast is excellent as well. And parking garage is very good too.

Parking on site. We stayed in Ronsdorf to explore the city that my father and ancestors were born in.

Same goes for the bathroom. Hotel is located near the station, so everything was a short walking distance.
