There were 6 of us in the Group and the relaxed nature of the hotel suited our needs. It is close to the centre of Valletta so arranging dinner etc. was very easy - with positive assistance from staff. The 'happy hour' between 6-8 was an extremely well received service.

Valletta was full of history, culture and great food!
Valletta was full of history, culture and great food! It was easy to walk the entire city and visit sights. There were amazing places to eat and drink throughout the city, with endless array of cuisines to choose from. By staying in Valletta it was easy to hop on a bus to any other part of the country! There are also ferry rides across the bays for a couple of euro's.

Lots of interesting places to visit including Grand Master's Palace and St John's Cathedral which was amazing. Enjoyed walking the narrow streets admiring the architecture. Lots of very good restaurants serving delicious food. Cheap, efficient public bus service for exploring the island.

There was nothing I didn't like.
There was nothing I didn't like. Valletta is a stunningly elegant small city, with very impressive architecture, much to see culturally, friendly locals, and plenty of restaurants and bars. Because the island itself is so small, you really don't need a car - everywhere we wanted to get to (apart from Gozo) was easily accessible by their very efficient bus system, and taxis are not overly expensive. We took 2 separate days out to visit Mdina and Rabat - well worth it.
What really blew my mind were the amazing neolithic sites, which are very well presented and explained. There are a dozen more of these sites which have been excavated, dating from 4000 to 7000 years old, which makes Malta unique.

There is so much to see in Valletta, everywhere you walk there are amazing buildings and so much history. We had a car and travelled outside the City and again there was so much architecture to admire. There is good public transport in Malta so a car isn't really necessary and the main part of Valletta is pedestrianised.
Lots of restaurants to choose from, but be aware that even if they are showing open on the internet they may have closed down.
Good range of food and drink at a wide range of prices. Mainly Italian inspired food with some local dishes, rabbit stew is a popular local dish.
Vegetarian options on most menu's and a few vegan but allergens often not shown on menu's.
It felt safe walking around at night and had a good atmosphere.
Check days places of interest are open, if you are particulalry keen to see somehing.

Fascinating city - catacombs, cathedrals & Caravaggio.
Fascinating city - catacombs, cathedrals & Caravaggio. We thought the food was great - try and get to Da Pippo for lunch and try the cocktails at Kamy- literally a work of art!
Plenty of gardens or piazzas to rest, soak in the atmosphere and take in the stunning views, easy boat trips across the harbour or to Gozo, Valletta offered so much more than we had expected.
I’d say “go now”. A lot of the old (17th century) houses are being renovated… one day it may become gentrified and a city simply for visitors…
The hotel location is excellent, just a block away from the main pedestrian area inside the walls of the old city of Valletta. All the attractions of Valletta were just a short walk away. The building is a nicely renovated old building. The room was a nice size with comfortable bed and nicely appointed bathroom. Our room had a traditional balcony and a beautiful view of the rooftops of the old city. Breakfast was excellent and staff were very courteous and helpful.
Good place for people who want to live in city centre and don't wanna pay much for hotel, everything you need is close and you don't need to waste your time to get from one place to another. Living in such an old building has such atmosphere, I miss this place, it has its spirit.
We haven't used kitchen, but for sure it's a big advantage to have it
Towels, shower gel available
We have stayed at The Grand Harbour Hotel on a number of occasions now. It is in a great location for the Harbour or for venturing into the city centre and has great views from a lot of the rooms. It is a 5 minute walk from the Fast Ferry terminal which links Valletta with the sister island of Gozo in 45 minutes. Rooms are comfortable and the staff very good.
Lovely hotel in a very good location in Valletta, walking distance to the central bus station and all the attractions of the city.
Very attentive, professional and polite stuff.
Nice view from the rooftop terrace.
Comfy beds.
Nice breakfast space. As for the breakfast itself, it was quit good, but I would improve the quality of some of the products.
The Coleridge Boutique Botel is a piece of heaven in central Valletta. The room was magically beautiful, tasteful with a mesmerizing light. The hotels staff (Snežana, Maja and Lidija) are fantastic: friendly, eager to help and assist in making the most of our stay. They are full of information, quick to laugh, amazingly professional.
You can’t find a better location for that price in Malta. Included breakfast was great at the hotel rooftop with a great view. The electrical outlets in the rooms have a USB port, easy to charge mobiles, that was an unexpected super plus amenity. AC is old but it did its job. People at the front desk were extremely friendly and nice.
The location is ideal. You're right in the old town of Valletta, very easy access to restaurants, shopping, the ferries. The host is super nice and helpful. He even provided adapters so we could use our US plugs. And he answered any questions we had about Malta. There's a kitchette, so we could eat inside sometimes.
Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Valletta -- exactly what we wanted, with plenty of space for three adults sharing a room. It was walkable to everything we wanted to see in Valletta and we were able to park our rental car nearby. The breakfast was excellent! Thank you to the gracious staff for a lovely stay!
Super nice hotel located in the centre of Valletta. Lovely staff with great energy. The room was super clean. We also had breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant and it was perfect. The vibe of all the people working there just makes this hotel even nicer. If in Malta again, we’ll surely stay at La Falconeria.
- Very clean and comfortable.
- Great location, easy walk from cafes, bars, bus station and the walled city centre
- Great communication from owner (ask them to send you a pic of the small alleyway leading to the front door as it's a little tricky to find otherwise.)
- Quiet.
This hotel has the best location in Valletta . Only a short walk from the bus station and centre . On the doorstep of the Barrakka Gardens . Very friendly staff and reasonably priced if all you want is a convenient base to explore Malta . Free safe
The location is in a very nice neighborhood in Valletta. It is walkable to the ferries, main attractions and is a hotel I will stay in whenever I am in Malta.
The staff was extra pleasant and helpful. I felt very safe and “at home.”
Wonderful staff, super helpful and friendly. Great breakfast. Clean hotel. Well located in the city centre. Would recommend. They even gave a little treat - spa and drink voucher for my family member whose birthday treat it was.
A self contained room in the heart of Valletta. The staff worked out of a different hotel, and were friendly and knowledgable. I was very grateful that I could leave my bike with them while I visited the city centre.
It is located very close to the city centre. Nice and cosy bedrooms. Small sufficient kitchenette and living room with sofa and dining table. There is a beautiful restaurant right across the street.
The hotel is located in the center of Valletta, very close to the historical attractions and to many restaurants.
The staff was super friendly and helpful.
The room was very spacious and quiet.
Nicola & Antoine were very helpful and they answered immediately to my messages. The location was great in the city centre, the apartment was spacious. We enjoyed our stay!!!!
