Friendly staff, clean, fluffy towels, great central location without an ocean view but we could walk for a minute and be out on the beach. Very safe and comfortable stay for three nights, it was great for our needs.

A pretty location with a lovely beach drive.
A pretty location with a lovely beach drive. Great proximity to Trees of Mystery as well as other Redwood Forest trails. Quiet and relaxing spot. We ate once at the Apple Peddler, but they were out of so many things, blaming a blocked highway preventing their supply truck. Didn't have that problem elsewhere, and the Safeway was fully stocked. But the server was sweet and apologetic... but we didn't go back.

Excellent base for exploring the redwood parks.
Excellent base for exploring the redwood parks. The park information center was extremely helpful for details about Jedediah Smith Redwood State Park, and, because of Yoko (friendly guy at info center), I was able to go on a very pleasant, casual road trip into the park.

We spent all our time at the beach. We rented a home for 3 days right across form the beach and we spent all 3 days on the beach or watching the ocean tides rise and fall. Have been to crescent city several times and always have a great time there.

Crescent City is a fantastic spot with stunning views, from its rugged beaches and iconic lighthouse to the friendly locals. The town's museums offer a peek into its history, including a dramatic tale of survival from a tsunami. There are plenty of great places to eat, and the nearby redwood forests are simply breathtaking—a must-see for anyone visiting. In short, Crescent City is a perfect blend of nature, history, and hospitality.

The staff is always nice.
The staff is always nice. I'm always occomodated with a ground floor room.
Even the non-ocean rooms have a little ocean view - but only when the RV place is empty.
It's easy to pack and unpack - just pull up in front of your room.
Don't miss walking to the lighthouse. Check the tides because it's only accessible during a low tide.

We specifically chose Crescent City as a launch for visiting the Redwood Groves nearby. That was an awe inspiring highlight that I highly recommend. The natural beauty of the ocean beaches and harbour area are stunning. The city itself was sadly very depressed and seems desperately in need of an infusion of business upgrades. Many businesses are clised and shuttered.
We did enjoy an excellent seafood meal at a place on the harbour.
The person that checked me in was very nice. She was competent and very helpful. I stayed in room 107, and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room. Modern Ceramic tile floors throughout, comfortable bed, TV, Coffee maker and toiletries. For a motel built mid century, it was very nice. I booked on Booking.com at a very Reasonable price. When in Crescent City, I will stay here again.
Cute retro hotel. The room was spacious and clean. we enjoyed walking around the harbor and taking the path into town. Nice little restaurant and huge sea lion colony at the harbor.
The motel is a little older but I did have ocean views and the layout of the room is perfect and way better than modern motels. The beds were huge and the tv was easy to use.
Great location (close to pier), quiet place, new furniture, friendly staff, squeaky-clean, roomy, not expensive. The best 6 hotel I've ever seen. Felt totally comfortable.
