Super fint, relativt nybygget hotel. Store værelser med altan. Fin morgenmad med både frisk frugt, æg, brød og kage. Flinkt personale, meget hjælpsomme. De har store badehåndklæder til låns når man skal ud til de varme kilder eller bade i poolen. Dejligt poolområde. God beliggenhed, ca 10 min ind til byen og nemt at komme ud når man skal køre på tur omkring på øen. Der hører parkering til hotellet. Kan varmt anbefales.

Solar de Santo André er et nyrenoveret pensionat i Ponta Delgada, 12 km fra Pico do Carvao. Der er udendørs swimmingpool og havudsigt. Overnatningsstedet har døgnåben reception og solterrasse. highly recommend staying at Solar de Santos André! I was lucky to stay there 4 nights (3 in the studio and 1 in the appartment), it is really a beautifull place! The house is a museum in itself, you can feel that history took place in those rooms, the 'library' is incredible and the kitchen is a dream. Eduarda will give you lots of tips and advice on the island, and if you wish she will tell you the story of the house. You trully feel at home and in a cocoon within the city. The breakfasts are awsome (thank you Maria as well :) I'll be back for sure!!

Bed is comfortable. Private bathroom is huge. The host is very attentive and helpful. Daniel helped me with taxi when I was in the middle of the island.

We enjoyed every second of it!

The owner was a real friendly person, and very welcoming. She made sure I was properly checked in and everything was in order, and gave some extra tips about the small town.

The overall area was very nice. The outdoor space was lovely and the kitchen (for shared use was nice). The room was a little small, but very functional. The breakfast (included in price) was excellent.

Thalassa Villas ligger i Ponta Delgada, mindre end 1 km fra São Roque-stranden og 15 minutters gang fra Milicias-stranden. Der tilbydes pool med udsigt og havudsigt. We stayed in the unit on the first floor that led out to the pool. It is bright, modern and very comfortable. The apartment had everything that we needed for our 1.5 week trip, including a crib and high chair for our baby. The hosts were incredibly friendly, accommodating and quick to respond to any of our requests. The location of the apartment is very central and was a great base for exploring the rest of the island.

Pensionatet har familieværelser.... One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in 45 years of travel. Artistic and funky but also warm, friendly and totally unpretentious. The hotel is an old style property, airy and light with big windows and views to the Pico volcano. It is like a gem of an oasis amidst more recent development on the edge of town, but is only ten mins walk down to the big square and port. Breakfast in the spacious dining room is exceptional and the ladies who run the hotel are charming and helpful. We had the extra benefit and unexpected bonus of the Suite, which was like having your own flat with a terrace! There are some trendy restaurant options down the hill with good food - but rather pricey wine, but we found a couple of traditional older places (Medalhas & Lima) that we liked. For whale-watching, Naturalist are a good science-based outfit and if you are short of time or transport they do an excellent half day island tour too - very informative and not touristy. You can do both in one day!

Cantinho do Piano ligger i Velas. Ejendommen har udsigt over havet og haven. Pensionatet har familieværelser. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Thanks for the map with all the sights and the introduction to the island and also for the good coffee. We really enjoyed the stay at your place. We lucky to see Pico from your terrace.
