CFS Azores Guest House está en Ponta Delgada, a 18 min a pie de Playa de San Roque y a 1,8 km de Praia das Milicias, y ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis, aire acondicionado, jardín y salón de uso... Everything. The room was very clean and big, everything looks brand new. The bed is very confortable and big, the bathroom is very spacious, the facilities are great, the staff is super helpful, especially Carlos which gave us some very helpful advice on how to visit the island along with some maps. They even have an elevator(lift) even if there aren't many stairs. You don't need to stay closer to Ponta Delgada as you will mostly travel by car and from CFS Azores you are 7-10 minutes away from the city center where you can eat and do stuff if you want to. It was great altogether, I 100% recommend it and would return.

I was lucky to stay there 4 nights (3 in the studio and 1 in the appartment), it is really a beautifull place! The house is a museum in itself, you can feel that history took place in those rooms, the 'library' is incredible and the kitchen is a dream. Eduarda will give you lots of tips and advice on the island, and if you wish she will tell you the story of the house. You trully feel at home and in a cocoon within the city. The breakfasts are awsome (thank you Maria as well :) I'll be back for sure!!

DMCharme, que tiene salón de uso común, terraza y vistas a la ciudad, está en Ponta Delgada, a 12 km de Pico do Carvao. Bed is comfortable. Private bathroom is huge. The host is very attentive and helpful. Daniel helped me with taxi when I was in the middle of the island.

The host is extremely polite, welcoming, and helpful! He gives amazing recommendations for restaurants and things to do all around the island. The room was beautiful and very clean! We enjoyed every second of it!

Pousada da Vila, que se encuentra a 6 min a pie de Praia do Corpo Santo y a 600 metros de Praia da Vinha da Areia, ofrece habitaciones en Vila Franca do Campo. The owner was a real friendly person, and very welcoming. She made sure I was properly checked in and everything was in order, and gave some extra tips about the small town.

Farol Guesthouse se encuentra en Angra do Heroísmo, a 13 min a pie de Playa de Negrito, y ofrece alojamiento con salón de uso común, parking privado gratis y terraza. Loved the facility. The overall area was very nice. The outdoor space was lovely and the kitchen (for shared use was nice). The room was a little small, but very functional. The breakfast (included in price) was excellent.

Thalassa Villas está en Ponta Delgada, a menos de 1 km de Playa de San Roque, y tiene piscina al aire libre, habitaciones libres de humo y wifi gratis. Todo. Gracias a los propietarios por su atención y amabilidad. La villa no le falta detalle, perfecta para desconectar, relajarse, y poder irse de excursión para ver São Miguel. Ubicación perfecta cerca a Ponta delgada. Un agrado haber estado aquí!

Estrela do Atlântico, que cuenta con jardín, terraza, bar y wifi gratis, se encuentra en Horta, a 11 min a pie de Praia da Conceição y a 2,8 km de Praia de Porto Pim. One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in 45 years of travel. Artistic and funky but also warm, friendly and totally unpretentious. The hotel is an old style property, airy and light with big windows and views to the Pico volcano. It is like a gem of an oasis amidst more recent development on the edge of town, but is only ten mins walk down to the big square and port. Breakfast in the spacious dining room is exceptional and the ladies who run the hotel are charming and helpful. We had the extra benefit and unexpected bonus of the Suite, which was like having your own flat with a terrace! There are some trendy restaurant options down the hill with good food - but rather pricey wine, but we found a couple of traditional older places (Medalhas & Lima) that we liked. For whale-watching, Naturalist are a good science-based outfit and if you are short of time or transport they do an excellent half day island tour too - very informative and not touristy. You can do both in one day!
