Situated just 1.6 km from São Roque Beach, CFS Azores Guest House features accommodation in Ponta Delgada with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as luggage storage space. Everything. The room was very clean and big, everything looks brand new. The bed is very confortable and big, the bathroom is very spacious, the facilities are great, the staff is super helpful, especially Carlos which gave us some very helpful advice on how to visit the island along with some maps. They even have an elevator(lift) even if there aren't many stairs. You don't need to stay closer to Ponta Delgada as you will mostly travel by car and from CFS Azores you are 7-10 minutes away from the city center where you can eat and do stuff if you want to. It was great altogether, I 100% recommend it and would return.

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and views of sea, Solar de Santo André is a recently renovated guest house located in Ponta Delgada, 12 km from Pico do Carvao. highly recommend staying at Solar de Santos André! I was lucky to stay there 4 nights (3 in the studio and 1 in the appartment), it is really a beautifull place! The house is a museum in itself, you can feel that history took place in those rooms, the 'library' is incredible and the kitchen is a dream. Eduarda will give you lots of tips and advice on the island, and if you wish she will tell you the story of the house. You trully feel at home and in a cocoon within the city. The breakfasts are awsome (thank you Maria as well :) I'll be back for sure!!

Located in Madalena, Casa-do-Mar features accommodation with seating area. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. Victor was very kind and accommodating! Breakfast was great, location was great and property was very nice

Set 12 km from Pico do Carvao, DMCharme offers air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony. With inner courtyard views, this accommodation features a patio. Bed is comfortable. Private bathroom is huge. The host is very attentive and helpful. Daniel helped me with taxi when I was in the middle of the island.

CITY STONE HOUSE in Ponta Delgada provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, barbecue facilities and a shared lounge. The host is extremely polite, welcoming, and helpful! He gives amazing recommendations for restaurants and things to do all around the island. The room was beautiful and very clean! We enjoyed every second of it!

Located within 500 metres of Praia do Corpo Santo and 600 metres of Praia da Vinha da Areia in Vila Franca do Campo, Pousada da Vila features accommodation with seating area. The owner was a real friendly person, and very welcoming. She made sure I was properly checked in and everything was in order, and gave some extra tips about the small town.

Set in Angra do Heroísmo, 1.1 km from Negrito Beach, Farol Guesthouse offers accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking and a terrace. Loved the facility. The overall area was very nice. The outdoor space was lovely and the kitchen (for shared use was nice). The room was a little small, but very functional. The breakfast (included in price) was excellent.

Offering pool with a view and sea view, Thalassa Villas is situated in Ponta Delgada, less than 1 km from São Roque Beach and a 15-minute walk from Milicias Beach. We stayed in the unit on the first floor that led out to the pool. It is bright, modern and very comfortable. The apartment had everything that we needed for our 1.5 week trip, including a crib and high chair for our baby. The hosts were incredibly friendly, accommodating and quick to respond to any of our requests. The location of the apartment is very central and was a great base for exploring the rest of the island.

Located in Horta, within less than 1 km of Praia da Conceição and 2.8 km of Praia de Porto Pim, Estrela do Atlântico provides accommodation with a garden and a bar, and free WiFi. One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in 45 years of travel. Artistic and funky but also warm, friendly and totally unpretentious. The hotel is an old style property, airy and light with big windows and views to the Pico volcano. It is like a gem of an oasis amidst more recent development on the edge of town, but is only ten mins walk down to the big square and port. Breakfast in the spacious dining room is exceptional and the ladies who run the hotel are charming and helpful. We had the extra benefit and unexpected bonus of the Suite, which was like having your own flat with a terrace! There are some trendy restaurant options down the hill with good food - but rather pricey wine, but we found a couple of traditional older places (Medalhas & Lima) that we liked. For whale-watching, Naturalist are a good science-based outfit and if you are short of time or transport they do an excellent half day island tour too - very informative and not touristy. You can do both in one day!

Cantinho do Piano is situated in Velas. The property has sea and garden views. The guest house features family rooms. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Thanks for the map with all the sights and the introduction to the island and also for the good coffee. We really enjoyed the stay at your place. We lucky to see Pico from your terrace.
