Cilka, after which the house is named, was known as one of the most spiritually profund person in this typical Karst village Lokev. And because of its specific remote microlocation and fresh air, you can enojy peaceful time with your friends and family.
The owner Lidija is the kindest and hospitable person you will ever met. She is speeking italian and her daughter Nena is speaking english, so you will not have to worry about the languege barrier.
In the immediate vicinity of Lipica stands the interesting karst village Lokev, which has quite a few specialties worth visiting. Undoubtedly, the most interesting for an individual visitor is the fantastic military museum Tabor, where collector and historical enthusiast Srečko Rože told you all about Slovenia's military past. Directly opposite the military museum is Fabian's antique grocery store, and a little further on is the oldest prosciutto factory in the Slovenian Karst - Pršutarna Lokev. The most beautiful karst trails lead through the idyllic karst village of Lokev. In the heart of the village itself, is home to the oldest prosciutto factory in the Slovenian Karst - Pršutarna Lokev s’krasa. Here according to the traditional recipes of our nonotes and with the help of the unique karst climate; we have been producing Karst meats for decades. This is the land of Karst prosciutto, the most prestigious Slovenian product. Lipica lies in a beautiful natural habitat surrounded by an oak forest, where beautiful white horses roam the fields full of flowers. Lipica is extremely important for its cultural, historical and natural heritage, as one of the oldest cultural breeds of horses
