Rinconcito Lodge features a garden and complimentary WiFi in public areas. The rooms offer a private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. They have wooden furniture. I am unsure why this lodge has a 2-star rating on Booking; it should have at least 4 stars. Here's why: 1. The location: It is spectacular; you don't see anything else but mountains and hills surrounding this lodge. Rincon de la Vieja National Park is in its backyard, providing several activities to do either independently or with a tour guide. We opted for guided tours offered by the Rinconcito Lodge (note that not all tour guides speak English). We took the horseback ride tour, starting at the Rinconcito. We rode for 45 minutes to the Santa Maria Rangers Station (entrance fee not included in the tour price). After leaving the horses at the Ranger station, we walked to the hot springs, the Morpho Waterfall, and the enchanted forest. I also highly recommend the canopy/zipline tour; we did 7 lines of canopy, and the views from the largest lines were breathtaking. The entire experience was amazing! 2. The room: The bed was comfortable, and the room (we had the mountain view room) was exactly as described in the Booking listing, with a mini fridge and AC which we did not need to use because the temp in that room was perfect. There were no surprises, except for the fact that we were amazed by how beautiful the room and the views were in real life. Waking up every morning to the sounds of colibris and other birds was simply amazing! 3. Public areas: All public areas are well-maintained and clean. We spent hours in the hammocks by the pool, and the pool itself was clean and well-kept. We absolutely loved it. 4. The restaurant: It was fantastic, albeit a bit pricey. The food was well worth it! Breakfast was included so that was a huge plus. Their drinks and desserts were fantastic too. We had the best food in Costa Rica at the Rinconcito Lodge. 5. The staff: They truly have a fantastic staff who care about their guests having a great time. We felt so welcomed, as if we were family :)

Located 54 km from Playa Hermosa, Vida Aventura Nature Park offers accommodation 16 km Rincon de La Vieja National Park. Guests benefit from free WiFi and private parking available on site. It´s a place super beautiful and paceful, a plus: the sky full of stars every night! And the service of Mr Jorge is outstanding!

Santa Maria Volcano Lodge offers pet-friendly accommodation. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Free private parking is available on site. The rooms are equipped with a private bathroom. The staff were so friendly and accommodating! We arrived at 6pm and wanted dinner, and they offered to bring the dinner to our cabin. We loved the rustic atmosphere, with displays of traditional farming tools that the owner family used. Coffee was served with freshly squeezed milk and homemade cheese. The cabins were beautiful with enormous windows that had views of beautiful plants, trees, and flowers.

With Parque Nacional Santa Rosa reachable in 49 km, Hotel Rincón de la Vieja Lodge features accommodation, a restaurant, a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. Wonderful location and helpful staff.

Hacienda Guachipelin Volcano Ranch Hotel & Hot Springs is located at the foot of the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano, in north-west Costa Rica. The ambience and all there was to do in the area. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. The restaurant served very good food. The staff made the experience as they were so helpful and friendly

Situated in Liberia, within 27 km of Miravalles Volcano, Cabaña de montaña espectacular is an accommodation offering garden views.

Located in the beautiful country side near Rincon de la Vieja National Park, Casa Rural Aroma de Campo is a quaint B&B with on-site natural springs and a kitchen serving delicious Costa Rican cuisine.... We had a spacious room connected to the house. The fan was more than enough to keep you cool. The outdoor living space was fantastic. You still felt quite private and it overlooked the beautiful gardens of the massive block of land were you can watch all the different birds fly through. The blue healers were gorgeous and friendly. The owners are very helpful with fantastic recommendations. Make sure you have dinner here. Its the best you'll get in costa rica. A perfect place to come back to after exploring all the nearby activities. Small village nearby if you need any supplies.

Set in Guayabos, Pochote Lodge offers free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. Don Francisco is a very nice host, open for all questions and a good local guide with fantastic recommendations. For people traveling without car don Francisco is also doing transfers like to the national park. Nice Lodge nice place and you feel like you are a part of the family.
