We were overwhelmed by the design, interior as well as exterior, which integrates the surrounding mountains without a hint of rural kitsch. It's paradise for art lovers, an attraction to excellent conversations with the open-minded owners. If we are what we eat, we become kinder and braver after each breakfast, since we just realize how blessed we are to have entered the gates of this palace, sorry, place.

Este hotel tradicional se encuentra a solo 1,5 km del pintoresco lago Kochel y ofrece un jardín grande y vistas a los Alpes bávaros. Good location, in walking distance from train station and nice restaurants/cafes. The owners are very nice and courteous but no English speaking as far as I could gauge; good breakfast as I am sure others have mentioned.

The location of this hotel is excellent, right on the Untermarkt (old main street), a quick walk to everything in Murnau. We were unfortunately visiting because of a family member inpatient at the Unfallklinik, which is also walking distance. The hotel staff are friendly, warm and accommodating of every need or wish. They were understanding of our needs as family of a hospital patient, and flexible with additional parties arriving and booking more rooms on short notice. They also offered a discount for longer term stays. The rooms are spacious, clean, and fitted with furniture that makes it feel more like a personal home or apartment than a generic hotel room. Complimentary mineral water and laundry service added peace of mind, and the sauna, steam room and infrared cabine were comforting at the end of a long stressful day.

Este hotel de 4 estrellas ofrece alojamiento tradicional en el centro de Murnau. Alberga un restaurante acogedor, una taberna al aire libre tradicional bávara y su propia cervecería. Muy cerca de todo. Tiene una excelente cervecería con restaurante. Todo se encuentra muy cerca y es una ciudad muy bonita. Tiene parqueo propio muy seguro.

Kind people, superb breakfast, wonderful location. The breakfast is excellent and the spa is comfortable, beautiful and relaxing. The staff their did above and beyond. I was so happy there. It was perfect. 10/10 I will be coming back with friends or family. Highly Recommend.

Located in Kochel am See, just 1.5 km from Lake Kochel, this 3-star-superior hotel offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and traditional Bavarian cuisine. A beautiful quaint hotel, with a very comfortable and clean room. Our balcony looked out to a neighboring meadow and hills. They added a special touch with a chocolate on your pillow and a bottle of sparkling water when we arrived. The breakfast was excellent with a big variety and various special items, plus the breakfast room was super cozy and really nicely decorated. Staff were very friendly during breakfast and at the reception. Gave us great info on hikes in the area and provided a map to take. We’d definitely stay there again.
