NH Gran Hotel Casino de Extremadura is next to the Guadiana River, 10 minutes’ walk from Badajoz city centre and Alcazaba Fortress. It offers free WiFi and houses the Gran Casino de Extremadura. My wife and I stayed for one night at the NH Gran on our way from Spain to Portugal and the hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was of a very generous size and was well fitted out. The cleanliness of this hotel was exceptional. It smelt and was clean. Staff were very friendly with reception staff a standout in taking a little time to explain the sights of the city and to mark a few things on a map for us. It was very much appreciated. Lovely stay and recommneded.

Located in Villanueva de la Serena, 37 km from Parque Natural de Cornalvo y Sierra Bermeja, Hotel Suites Moma Centro provides accommodation with a shared lounge, private parking, a terrace and a bar. Excellent central hotel with easy secure parking which will take large vehicles. A lot of thought was gone into the fixtures and fittings of the hotel to give a high quality finish. The rooms are individual with different layouts and bed sizes.

The staff were very nice and accommodating. Gave us a pillow for our dogs. Checking in and out was easy. Beds are comfortable and showers are nice. The rooms have big televisions. We had a nice dinner and a powerful breakfast in the restaurant. 100% recommended if you are passing through Badajoz area and need a place to stay.

Located in Monesterio, 31 km from Estación El Martajal, La Dehesa de Don Pedro provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a fitness centre and a garden. This hotel is on a beautiful location nearby to where the famous bellota ham is produced. The building is beatifully done and the surroundings are very special, in particular the lavender garden.The facilities are brand new and everything is done with lots of care and good taste. The room was very comfortable. The spa and swimming pool areas where impecable, both of them with a nice view. The food was prepared with local ingredientes. The hotel produces its own energy and takes care of the environment. All was great but the best of all was the staff. We left with the best of memories.
