The husband and wife were especially nice and despite not speaking English well, they were very accommodating. We would stay here again.

The natural setting is stunning and the hotel has countless cozy nooks, a superb restaurant, extremely comfortable rooms, and best of all, a fine staff that understands how to make their guests feel coddled and welcome.

This comfortable hotel is in central Pas de la Casa, by the Grandvalira Ski Resort. It offers free Wi-Fi in all rooms and public areas. All rooms at the Petit Hotel have a private balcony. Just had 2 nights stay here to visit family. We did not ski but plenty of people were who were staying at the hotel did. Hotel is located at the top end of town right by all the shops. No bars so very quiet, which is what we wanted. Marianne checked us in and our booking came with breakfast. Marianne showed us to the room and had put the heating on, so it was toasty warm. This was excellent customer service for me. The rooms have a lovely balcony with exceptional views. Day 1 was dry and clear, so perfect to sit and people watch. There is a fridge in the room, which you can put in whatever you want. Tea was available and a small kettle with 2 bottles of water. It’s a 5 minute walk to the ski lifts, maybe longer carrying skis etc. The hotel is really clean. Plenty of choice at breakfast, which is served in the bar, which yes is petit after the name. A lovely lady made us a coffee and we had a choice of the following:- fresh orange juice, cereal, yoghurts, fruit bowl, and ham cheese. Butter jam etc. Fresh bread which was four different choices. A selection of teas. There was scrambled egg and bacon as well. Also a selection of fresh pastries. I have to say I was very impressed, as we had read too many reviews on other hotels, which are closer to the lifts but also to the nightlife, which made us a bit weary. The reviews we did read made us book the Petit Hotel and we are glad we did. If you stay after reading this, I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did. We live in rural France, after living in a city for many years in the UK, so we do prefer peace and quiet. We had a bath in our room and bathrobes that all added to the experience.

Mas Lo Faix has a restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, a shared lounge and garden in Saint-Laurent-de-Cerdans. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. The hotel is run by a group of friends and family who are very friendly and welcoming. By the end of the week I began to feel part of their community and was sad to leave. Everything is relaxed and flexible -- it was easy to meet my toddler's needs, which made our visit smooth and relaxing. We went on short hikes and visited their traditional garden in town. The food is picked in the garden and served that evening, so every meal is fresh and unique. They also bake their own breads. The food is simple yet inventive. I will never forget the shiso dumplings they served on our last night. Thank you Lo Faix, and hope to see you again next year!
