Chateau de Monrecour is located in Périgord Noir region, in the heart of the Dordogne Valley. It offers two heated swimming pools, a large south-facing terrace and a gourmet-style restaurant. Beautiful grounds and buildings, large and comfortable room, gorgeous modern bathroom, excellent service, convenient location. The bed was perfect. There is an excellent restaurant, as well as breakfast with many choices and helpful service. Staff told us about the conveniently located (and free) spotless laundry facilities, helpful after a week on the road. Wish we would have stayed longer at this hotel.

There is a golf course in the works that should be ready by summer 2023. The food is excellent and the ambiance is great. We will come back to lovely Dordogne and will stay again at the Domaine de Rochebois.

Obviously the kitchen is not cheap, but very much worth the money and fulfilling.
