Chateau de Monrecour is located in Périgord Noir region, in the heart of the Dordogne Valley. It offers two heated swimming pools, a large south-facing terrace and a gourmet-style restaurant. Beautiful grounds and buildings, large and comfortable room, gorgeous modern bathroom, excellent service, convenient location. The bed was perfect. There is an excellent restaurant, as well as breakfast with many choices and helpful service. Staff told us about the conveniently located (and free) spotless laundry facilities, helpful after a week on the road. Wish we would have stayed longer at this hotel.

Domaine de Rochebois features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Vitrac. Offering a bar, the property is located within 8.8 km of Sarlat-la-Canéda Train Station. The hotel is a chateau that has been recently renovated. Everything is brand new. the rooms are beautifully decorated, super cozy and very comfortable. There is a golf course in the works that should be ready by summer 2023. The food is excellent and the ambiance is great. We will come back to lovely Dordogne and will stay again at the Domaine de Rochebois.

We were welcomed with a lot of enthusiasm and caring to this beautiful country inn right on the Dordogne River. Sitting on the patio looking out over the valley was a bit of heaven! The dining room was lovely. It was a fine base to visit nearby Sarlat La Canadia and to see other ancient buildings in the Dordogne area.

Great location, very nice room, excellent service, and a restaurant with excellent food (would definitely deserve a Michelin star).
