Just 2 miles from Keswick, The Coledale is a 19th-century country inn with 2 traditional bars and elegant rooms. Peaceful location and fabulous views. Beautiful inside, very homely feel, friendly staff, lovely room, clean, comfortable, excellent shower, fabulous breakfast, perfectly cooked. Really relaxing stay, look forward to staying again.

Overlooking picturesque Lake Derwentwater, the four-star Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa is set in forty acres of tranquil land with a waterfall and a lakeshore. We loved the rustic romantic room, with large balcony and fireplace. The view of the lake was amazing, the sounds of the stream and the majestic gardens was something out of a movie The spa was so fun, and the soak in the heated pool at sunset was perfectly romantic. Top tip set your alarm an hour before sunrise, get your self up and be in wonder of the perfect night sky. You might just be lucky enough to see a shooting star or 10! 5mims walk to the right and you can start one of the most idelic walks ever.

The 18th-century Royal Oak at Keswick is located in the market town of Keswick, just 2 miles from Derwentwater. The lovely staff, the daily service in the room- it was so nice to walk in the room after a day of hiking with everything clean and fresh. The location was superb and the breakfast great.
