Hotel in Miyajima
A 3-minute stroll from Itsukushima Shrine, Miyajima Grand Hotel Arimoto features an outdoor hot spring bath, 3 restaurants and karaoke. This is a real, traditional Japanese resort hotel where you will get the authentic experience in a gorgeous setting. We loved the attentive and luxurious service by the staff, and it was very cool to stay in a traditional Japanese room that gave off Showa-era vibes. The food (dinner and breakfast) was also amazing - but please note that the cuisine will be very seafood-heavy. We were embarrassed that another American guest at an adjacent table complained to staff about this, and said that they should be serving more meat instead of seafood. If you feel similarly, you should probably stay elsewhere rather than be disrespectful and a bad ambassador for your home country.

Just a 5-minute walk from Miyajima Guchi Station, Miyajima Coral Hotel offers air-conditioned rooms and self-service laundry facilities. Location is perfect for catching the ferry over to Miyajima, access to konbinis and the train stations were very close by too. The breakfast buffet at the café was great. Good facilities provided in the room too. Staff were all really helpful and friendly.

Hotel in Miyajima
Located along Hiroshima's shoreline opposite Miyajima Island, known for World Heritage Site, Itsukushima Shinto Shrine, Aki Grand Hotel offers western and Japanese style rooms, free parking and 4... A hotel that feels like a 5* resort in a stunning setting. I have loved every single second at Aki Grand Hotel : service was kind and personalised, room was clean, comfortable and with a beautiful view over the sea and the giant tori, dinner and breakfast were very good too. I was impressed by the different onsen in the hotel, but completely mesmerised by the private onsen. I strongly recommend anyone coming to this hotel to book it for a little extra, because it might be one of the highlight of your trip! I had also booked a night cruise, and the boat brings you very close to the tori which I found magical. I didn't use the outdoor pool but it looks fun and was busy yet not too crowded. It opens from mid-July until end of August, until 5pm, no cap needed. The hotel is sophisticated but has a delightful relaxing family feeling so that you directly feel at ease. My only regret was that, due to obon holidays, I couldn't book more than one night. I would 100% come back for longer in a future trip.

Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. The omotenashi - the spirit of Japanese hospitality - was just incredible. Thank you to absolutely every member of the staff who made our stay so enjoyable. Person who picked us up in a shuttle, people at the front desk, people who served dinner and breakfast. Simply wonderful. The meals were generous and delicious. Hotel itself is nostalgic retro style. View is beautiful. Public baths are clean and relaxing.
Miyajima
Offering a garden and a bar, HEM'S HOTEL 1日1組限定 new in Miyajima is close to Five Story Pagoda and Itsukushima Shrine. The property is a traditional Japanese house, typical of the Miyajima region. Beautifully preserved and with contemporary furniture that they managed to combine in an extraordinary way. The house is very small, so it has only one room, this makes you practically rented not a room, but the house complete with your own Japanese interior garden, its doors of Japanese paper, by the way very beautiful. They place incense, which gives it a very pleasant atmosphere. An extraordinary experience to rest in a Ryokan in a magical destination. Kousu Ke takes care of the property and was an extraordinary person, kind and very helpful. He solved a problem for me with the shipment of a package that he had lost at a destination prior to our arrival, and made sure I received it at my next destination. There cannot be a better host. The location is unbeatable, a couple of blocks from the main street. Walking to the bay took you through the little streets of traditional houses, and you could see the residents going about their daily lives.

Miyajima
All I can say is Thank You to the staff and management. On our honeymoon this hotel stands out - from arrival the staff made us feel special, the room was beautiful (upgraded on checkin), dinner was delicious with an awesome breakfast. When we arrived, Miyajima was bustling with tourists but by late afternoon this changed - we wondered around late at night to be greeted by deer roaming the streets. If you are visiting Miyajima, we would highly recommend a stay here. The onsen has a great view of Hiroshima Bay, great to watch sunset in.
We stayed as a family of four in a combination of western and japanese style room for one night and had the traditional japanese dinner and breakfast. The kids weren't keen on the japanese style dinner and breakfast, however that was my fault for not ordering the kids meal options. As adults, we found the food to be delicious and very well presented. The room was spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were amazing....they were very attentive and helpful. Highly recommend the Miyajima Grand Hotel.
Miyajima
The property is located in a lovely spot on Miyajima Island. Walkable to the busy waterfront area. It’s definitely old school but the room was clean. We stayed at Hotel Makoto for the ryokan experience. We were really excited when we returned after an evening out to find our beds prepared for us. I have to say, sleeping on the floor was uncomfortable but I was expecting that. There were more pads in the closet. The staff provided maps and info about the island. Very friendly and helpful.
Miyajima
Great ryokan in Miyajima, with a proper onsen. Welcoming staff, surprisingly spacious rooms, and great food. Dinner was sensational, with the restaurant staff happy to recommend some local sakes (we loved the Misen), and the Japanese breakfast was a treat. They offer transportation form the pier, but Miyajima is small, so I recommend you get there by taking a leisurely stroll through the market stalls.
Miyajima
Located in serene and quiet location on Miyajima! surrounded by lush forest. Rooms felt like traditional Japanese ryokan. Was clean and staff were friendly. There is shuttle bus that can pick you up from the Miyajima station (had to use the pay phone to contact them which was easy). Onsen is public but was not crowded. Close walk to Itsukushima shrine as well as cable car up to top of mountain.
Miyajima
The hotel is in a wonderful location, just on the other side of Itsukushima Shrine, which makes for a scenic 20-minute walk from the ferry. (They have a free mini-bus, but I think the walk was better!) Both the traditional Japanese dinner and the breakfast were wonderful, as was the overall atmosphere of the hotel. Great for a one or two night stay on Miyajima Island.
Miyajima
Perfect location, 5 min by foot from the ferry terminal in Miyajima and 5 min from the famous shrine. The staff was very nice. We got a Japanese-sttle room with tatami, tea table, cute kimono pyjamas and a small private bathroom. The view was great on both the seaside and mountain, though we had booked only a mountain view. There's also a public bath.
Miyajima
This is a first rate ryokan located in the heart of Miyajima. They definitely know how to take care of their guests. We stayed in a western styled room with its own Japanese ofuro (bath) that had a wonderful view. They also have a restaurant the serves outstanding fried oysters and other Japanese cuisine.
Miyajima
Host met us at the door was kind and very helpful with information about the island and getting around Miyajima. Home is a beautiful Japanese home and located perfectly away from the hustle in town but, close enough to be convienent. Host provides hot water, tea and coffee, bottled water.
Miyajima
The staff are amazing, very welcoming, pleasant and nice! The food was incredible and all around, 10/10! Without doubt this is the best place to stay if you go to Miyajima. The lady who owns the place is very lovely. This was our best experience in our whole stay in Japan.
The room was big for Japan measures, breakfasts were great, tea bags, bath salts, etc. at the reception, kind personal and the place was great - a minute to ferry to Itsukishima shrine. Also it was pretty close from the JR station Miyajimaguchi - cca 5 mins of walking.
Miyajima
This is a lovely hotel, easily walkable from the ferry port & right next to Miyajima Aquarium. The rooms are spotless & comfortable. The onsen was lovely. Star of the show were the delightful ladies who were always smiling & the AMAZING Japanese breakfast!
Miyajima
We loved the experience at the Miyajima Seaside Hotel . The staff were amazing and very accommodating. I do not eat a lot of fish, and the staff swapped the menu around to include more meat for me. We found the futons to be comfortable, and the onsen was good
This apartment was bigger than most hotels on the island. With a full kitchen and private bathroom, this apartment was hands down the best for your money. The Hotel Villa Miyajima was right next door and they have a bar that stays open till 11pm.
Miyajima
Great location, great view of the Tori gate from the room, great service, free 30 min private bath, nice Japanese style breakfast and dinner, and includes shuttles from and to Miyajima ferry port! It was a great value considering everything.
Miyajima
Very friendly and welcoming landlady. Traditional bathroom and Japanese breakfast available. On a quite street close to the main shopping area in Miyajima.
Miyajima
Everything, it was an amazing stay. Miyajima was my favorite place in Japan and this guesthouse was incredible
Miyajima
Very kind and friendly owners. They gave a lot of information about Miyajima and others parts of Japan.
Japanese style room with a great view of Miyajima. Relaxing and spacious onsen.
