Our 2 nights stay was really exceptional. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring Rjukan town and mountains around. The area was calm and cozy. The staff were fantastic, always attentive and eager to assist with any request. And the breakfasts – they’re simply great! Highly recommend.

Located 180 km from Oslo, 440 km from Gothenburg, in the heart of Telemark you will find Gausta at 1000 m altitude above Rjukan and Vestfjorddalen. Excellent breakfast, excellent dinner, satisfactory choice of beers at the bar, very nice room with comfortable beds, lovely surroundings, plenty of parking space.

The cabin is perfectly situated in a dead-end street with magical views. It’s a short distance to the ski slope, and we skied down to the ski resort every day. You can also go cross-country skiing directly from the cabin into miles of beautiful ski trails. The host has thought of every last little detail, from available firewood to cloth hangers in every bedroom. There is plenty of washing detergent for dishwasher and washing machine. And the washing machine is also a combined cloth drying machine. And the owners have prioritized excellent sleeping mattresses.

Big pluss was having extra towels for everyone, which is not usual standard for area. Nice gesture from the owner was a bottle of wine and a drink left in the fridge for us. The view from the window is amazing. We would gladly come back someday again and definitely recommend to all.

I didn't recognize this from the info on Booking. It was a pleasant surprise to me, but may not be to everyone. Apartment is luxurious, well equipped for winter stay, including fireplace and ski boots dryers.

Beautiful location and well equipped chalet. The interior is very cosy and stylish and even with some terrible weather, we still found it a lovely place to relax. Very handy to have the EV charging point to use at the accommodation. Would definitely recommend trying the floating Sauna at the Gaustablikk hotel as well as their pizza restaurant Stova and the bakery. Couldn't have asked for a more peaceful place to recuperate after Norseman!

New apartment, Gausta in Rjukan. Ski in/ ski out se encuentra en Rjukan, a solo 5 km de Monte Gaustatoppen, y ofrece alojamiento con acceso a pie de pista y wifi gratis. First of all the location is amazing, specially the view of mountains from the room and balcony attracts me more. The room is clean and also the apartment is spacious for stay upto 5 persons. We really enjoyed the place and would recommend others to visit there definitely. Also in addition to that host is friendly and cooperative.
