Yggdrasil Farmhotel Retreat, Spa & Yoga is located on Kvaløya island, 50-minutes drive from central Tromsø. Free WiFi access is available at the farm. The night in the small wagon was very nice and the "fireplace" has a certain charm. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The small farm with several animals and the possibility to go to the jacuzzi and or sauna is great. You can book rental equipment for a snowshoe hike directly on site. Parking is free of charge. Note that there is no supermarket or restaurant nearby. So you are tied to the accommodation's catering on site. This is very good, but the costs add up!

We loved being totally surrounded by nature. The lodge is very comfortable and well maintained. Plus a hot tub on the roof! The restaurant wasn't open when we were there because there weren't enough people, but we actually loved being able to cook for ourselves. Overall it was a really unique and amazing stay. We got upgraded from a suite to a deluxe room and we scored! It was heavenly! Our bed looked out to the ocean and mountains. We wished we could have stayed a second night. Our best accommodation in Norway! I would go back in a heartbeat. Only problem is the cost of a deluxe room is prohibitive. The hotel saved us when it told us to leave our car the night before the ferry to Vesterlen. There just isn't enough space on the ferry for the volume of cars.
