It’s a great spot well worth the extra 6km cycle off the trail to get there for those doing the TT. An oasis in the middle of dense bush. Rachael and Mark are fabulous hosts. We will be back.

The location was incredible! The staff was very friendly. The facilities seemed a bit older, but mostly quite clean.

The Powderhorn Chateau is situated in Ohakune, at the entrance to Tongariro National Park. It has a cosy ski village feeling with friendly staff and very comfortable rooms.

Amazing view from when I walk out the lobby and great food! The room was very comfortable and bathroom is huge!

Snowman Lodge and Spa is centrally located in the town centre of Ohakune which is the gateway to Ski Ruapehu, Turoa, Whakapapa and the famous Tongariro National Park. Place was on the money, perfect location, very cozy, heater was on in the room for when we were checked in.

Set in Ohakune and only 37 km from Mount Ruapehu, The Gables B&B offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Spacious, warm and comfortable.

The Inn At The Convent is situated in Taumarunui and offers a terrace. This bed and breakfast has a garden, barbecue facilities, free WiFi and free private parking. June was delightful and exuded Kiwi hospitality! We enjoyed kind of a down day on our 2 month trip thru New Zealand and Junes place was perfect! Loved our little day walks and her location is perfect.

And it shows - the room has everything you need, and the host is ready to listen for any improvements. The restaurant and activities recommendations were great and we had a nice chat with the host. I'd recommend this place to anyone and stay here again.
