Explore out at the renowned Enchantment Resort, offering an unparalleled experience set within the spectacular vistas of Boynton Canyon. Dinner on the patio on our first night was magical, with ever-changing views of the clouds and hills as the sun set behind us. Our waiter, Matt, was a pure delight (as were all others during our stay). The food was spectacular. From the property, we set out on three hikes and one guided bike ride (shout out to George - he was amazing and a great coach!). Do not miss the gorgeous hike out to Devil's Bridge (the trailhead is a short drive away)! Start early - so peaceful. A bit challenging at the end, but so worth it! We also enjoyed the Trail House and talking to the knowledgeable staff.

Featuring free Wi-Fi, El Portal Sedona Hotel is 20 minutes’ drive from Red Rock State Park. All rooms at this pet-friendly boutique hotel are uniquely designed and decorated. It is basically my dream house. Everything you see is beautiful. Art on the walls, beautiful lamps….The lobby and the fireplace are so cosy with excellent reading material and conversationalists. Looking at the red rocks while having the beautiful breakfast is breathtaking. We were visiting family in Scottsdale over Christmas and needed some private time after a few weeks. Also we missed our cats….a case of serious fluff withdrawal….so seeing and meeting all those lovely dogs and peanut the cat was almost therapeutic. The owner and the staff are wonderful and Steve has amazing stories to tell. The fire pit and the entire yard are adorable. Fairylights, comfortable chairs and blankets….everything doesn’t just look beautiful, but feels cosy as well. The room was one of the most romantic rooms we have ever stayed in….brass bed, rocking chair, fireplace…..a dream come true. I would move in there, permanently, in a heart beat. We will definitely return ( and although I hate flying, I will gladly hop onto a plane for 11 hours to return to this gem of a hotel. My husband feels the same way,too.

Offering a seasonal outdoor pool and a hot tub, Lux Verde Hotel is 10 minutes’ drive from Dead Horse Ranch State Park. Free WiFi access is available. Free breakfast is served daily. The whole room was spacious and nice. The aircon worked well. There was a little fridge and microwave as well. The bathroom had little toiletries and new towels every day. The hotel has a swimming pool (not too cold) and a hot tub (nice and hot). A breakfast, everyone could find something to eat (waffles, apples, yoghurt, cereals, oats, coffee, tea, scrambled eggs, sausages etc). The area is nice and quiet. The staff is lovely and helpful, they gave me plenty of good suggestions on what to do. The Cottonwood airport is just behind the hotel (2 min by car) so if you want to take an aeroplane / helicopter ride and see the Red Rocks then it is the perfect way to do so.
