Located 1.7 km from the West Entrance to Yellowstone National Park, 1872 Inn offers upscale, adults-exclusive accommodation in West Yellowstone, Montana. This Inn is a little hidden when driving through the town and we were definitely traveling during non-peak season. The streets were dead! Either way, we got to the Inn and thought we had the whole place to ourselves, because there were no other cars in the parking lot. We walked in and saw a beautiful, modern lobby with a fireplace going. The room was spaciously small, if that makes sense. There's no elevators in this place, so be prepared to carry your luggage around. Breakfast was good too. They had a little bit of everything, but better than a continental breakfast at a normal hotel. I would stay here again.

We booked for a short ski vacation and were incredibly impressed by how nice the houses were. The general manager was outstanding -- they have a great text system in place where you can ask questions or get help. The houses are immaculate but not over the top. The coffee maker had really thoughtful, and funny, instructions and I have to say the best cup of coffee I've had on vacation. We'll be back. Next year, the year after that, and until they open another property for us to visit!

The employees at the front desk made sure that we were well taken care of. The atmosphere and cleanliness made our stay memorable. We also enjoyed the rustic look of the hotel. The room was spacious, clean and easily accommodated my family of five. We loved the 'Ice Cream Happy Hour' every afternoon in the lobby, the s'mores kits for the nightly fire pit were also a big winner with our kids. Location is hard to beat, directly across from the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Centre and a short flat walk (maybe 5 minutes) into the main street. Free parking at the door was much appreciated. Breakfast offerings were great, excellent that most were 'grab and go' style so we could get into the Park as quickly as possible.
