I'm travelling capital cities of each Swiss Canton and 2 days and a night is I think good enough to visit the city center itself. There are still more outdoor places to visit like lakes valleys mountains.

Good location, with easy access to hiking trails in the surrounding valleys. Comfortable room with free soft drinks. Most of the staff speaks English. Air conditioner in the room helped us to survive the tropical nights of the heat wave. Restaurant is not exciting, but OK. It stops at 21.00, but there is a possibility to get cold snacks and drinks until 23.00, which helped as a lot.

Patricia Haeger who managed the place was extremely helpful with storage of luggage as we stayed there for 2 non-consecutive nights. Excellent place and would go back there again when in Sion.
