Really friendly staff as soon as we checked in. Was the perfect place to stay if attending a concert at the Murrayfield Stadium. Parking and the hotel even put a Tahoe Swift themed pre party on. So glad we chose to stay here.

Staff were amazing. Breakfast was good. Rooms were decent size. Location was perfect. As it is located near a retail park there’s quite few shops in the area.
Train station in 10min drive distance which we ordered taxi’s. Price was around £9/10 a journey. Train was around 20min to Edinburgh city centre and our return ticket only cost us £7.
We went to a concert at Murrayfield so it was easier to get train to Edinburgh park and then change for the tram.

Not much in Ratho, the canal is a particular favourite as lots of activity and it’s quite picturesque. Easy access to Edinburgh scenery is fabulous and if it’s a quiet time you want then this is the place to go.

Driving in late at night in the dark, I did not appreciate the beauty of my surroundings until next morning when I saw the canal, the town buildings and the towpath walks. Swans on the canal added to the overall charm.

Gorgeous venue and surroundings.
Gorgeous venue and surroundings. Overall, staff were friendly but the venue was a bit of a maze, which was sometimes frustrating. My room was very far away from hotel amenities which was also something to bare in mind when booking, especially if disabled.
I’d still really recommend for a short stay. Lovely breakfast!

Ratho exceeded all of our expectations.
Ratho exceeded all of our expectations. We'd booked the end of our 10-day Scotland trip near the airport (which is less than 10 minutes away), and so thought this might be a less than perfect part of town on Edinburgh's outstretches. But, not at all. Ratho is charming, quaint, with lots of nice walking in town or along the canals.
