We have stayed here before and will be staying again. 10/10 experience. We was sceptical of eating out at the roof top terrace because a lot of recent reviews wasn't great but we actually ended up ordering room service and the food was incredible so I would also a 100% recommend eating out there too!

The general area looked very nice, plenty for kids to do, shopping good also. Our experience was below our expectations due to our hotel stay, I'm sure we would have a better image if the hotel was up to standard. Great bus services, the pier was beautiful

I went just at the start of the Easter break, and it was nice and quiet, I imagine it being a popular summer resort. Good facilities with plenty of eateries. Travelling around Southend was okay, gets busy during rush-hour. Great long walks along the esplanade and the pier. A lot of the shops were closed during close-season.

I lived in Southend for many years, this was a visit to see family and attend a family gathering. The town (I will never call it a city) is a shadow of its former self. I wouldn't go to Southend unless I had a specific reason, it just isn't as welcoming as it used to be and the high street is dead.
In the summer, short break with young children who want no more than the beach and this place would be ok. There are some decent restaurants but stay out of the town centre for those.

Going around visiting places. Eating out.
Going around visiting places. Eating out. Great taxi service. Hotel was not so good. Not disabled friendly. Fell in bathroom not built for anyone who is disabled.. Hurt myself quite bad. Screaming in agony. Apart from that. Will not be staying in this hotel again

I don't normally write reviews, but I wanted to thank the hotel for a v enjoyable stay. The reception team in particular were very accommodating and friendly throughout. Breakfast was also superb, and the view from the restaurant and room of the airport was great. Shower was excellent. We will definitely stay here next time we visit Southend, rather than pay a premium to be on the seafront.
The service and reception my party of 6 received from Debbi and the team over our 3 night stay was exceptional . Location was fantastic. Hotel was fantastic. But the best of all was the service given to us. Debbi truly went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. The friendliness of the hotel and the people of Southend on Sea was truly amazing

The Room was a Sea View With Balcony which we did not Expect as we were on a Mini Break as my wife has Just had a Knee Replacement so the Hotel was Perfect as it's Location was on the Sea Front and Central for the Shops it is one of the best Breaks we have had we will be Using this Hotel Again
Was a lovely ensuite hotel room in a nice hotel not too far from the pier head and main seafront attractions (about a 15 minute walk) with nice views from the hotel and a nice bar area too. Would definitely go back again.
Everything, I use this hotel every single month for business meetings in the Southend on Sea area. It is by far the best property, especially for price, comfort and service. The staff are amazing as is the breakfast.
Stayed here before at this friendly Family run hotel.Central for seafront, buses, trains to London and shops.Good breakfast.Warm room.Theres a bar,TV and food served in the evenings too downstairs.
We had tickets for an event at Cliffs Pavilion so the proximity was amazing. Easy parking out front. Lots of seating in the lobby and bar area. Breakfast in the morning was nice.
Friendly, hospitable staff. Excellent full English breakfast served in dining room in a Covid safe manner.
Excellent location on the seafront, near free public parking.
Love that the bathroom has a small heater can warm and dry up towels to be able to reuse bath towels. Love that this hotel has air conditioning, love the breakfast.
