Only 5 mins driving away from the Braies Lake. This is the ideal location if you want to wake up a sunrise time to watch the changing lake reflection photo ops at the lake. Did all that and come back to the hotel for breakfast. The staffs are extremely accommodating. Because we visited during the in between seasons, we are the only guest at the inn. Still, they prepared a full menu of breakfast just for the three of us and did not cut corners.

The owner was very kind and attentive.
The food was extremely delicious - best pizzas I've ever eaten, and the breakfast was really tasty (lots of choices).
The location was beautiful - we had a nice view on the mountains from our room, and there is a hotel 1 km up the hill which offers even more spectacular view.
The jacuzzi was great, warm and clean.

Braies is a beautiful location but comes at a price.....lots of people. We decided to go slightly further a field and walked to one of the huts. For those visiting in a day trip be aware that one side of the lake involves climbing up and down steps so give yourself enough time and wear the right footwear. This location has something for everyone

We travel a lot, but I do think that this area in the Italien Dolomites was one of the most beautiful one. Would highly recommend it, especially if you love to hike through woods, etc. - it has a very Austrian feel in the architecture - the area belonged to Austria until the end of WW2.

The hotel is situated in the picturesque hills on the road leading up to Lago di Braies, right off a bus stop from the nearby village of Villabassa/Niederdorf. The rooms were spacious and clean, the staff very friendly, and the restaurant great (we ate dinner there two nights). Easy to get to Lago di Braies from here, either hiking the 20 minute trail directly behind the hotel or catching the bus. Highly recommended.ThomasUnited States

The host took us to Lago de Braies for the start of the Alta Via 1 walk for a small cost which was really helpful. We walked down to the village for supper, which took about 10 minutes. Good communication with the host when I was booking as we were a group of 7. Would recommend and would use again.
