Recently I and a group of friends had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful house in Soltroia / Comporta. It afforded all of us great comfort and privacy due to its amazing arrangements. It's a very well appointed house, with great attention to details - from the ensuite bedrooms, the entertainment/common spaces, the BBQ area, etc. They have tried to think of everything! The well appointed kitchen was a delight to use and would allow anyone to prepare a wonderful gourmet meal if desired. The pool with its lounge seating and umbrella area plus the lovely warm water heated pool was one of the highlights of the house. The games room provided ample entertainment for both adults and children alike for a night in or just entertainment.
The proximity to the beach a short 2-3 mins walk from the front gate was another highlight. You have miles of wonderful uninterrupted wide soft sandy beach with clear water at your doorstep. In addition you have a beach club which serves meals, drinks, snacks etc.
The house was exceptionally clean, well-maintained. Easy to reach and responsive hosts.
Set 1.4 km from Troia - Gale Beach and 2.3 km from Tróia Golf, Casa de Praia Tróia offers accommodation in Troia. It is situated less than 1 km from Troia - Bico das Lulas Beach and features a lift.
It was low season and there was not much going on.
It was low season and there was not much going on. It appears that apart from the beach and one golf club there is not so much to be done in Troia. There were a few restaurants but not that many. Supermarket in the village was extremely, expensive

Troia is a great place to enjoy almost year round beach and country relaxation.
Eating can be excelent down the Peninsula, though prices are becoming too high, and second level places are not as good as they should be by Portuguese cuisine levels - get on the ferry and enjoy great fish in Setubal for a pair of meals.
Avoid Troia Residence, by The Editorym Ácala Apartments. Lousy price/quality relation. A spacious and well conserved apartment with poor help form the desk (not ansereing phone; late or no action when requested). Absolutely noisy from 7pm to 1am. Tricky air conditioning. Awful 3rd bed requested and paid for an adullt. Kitchenware reduced to absolute minimum, no broom, and no equipment to dry towels and clothes, though there's a specific balcony.

We discovered this is a resort season and most of the area and buildings are empty/closed in offseason, which apparently mid-October is.
Our apartment, F31, was in very poor condition in terms of maintenance. For example the tv, Wi-Fi, security shutters, lock to balcony, shower water pressure were all non functioning. There is a longer list the the building (which was empty except for us) maintenance man now has. He expressed frustration that housekeeping had not made him aware.
The apartment is cute, and had it functioned properly, would have been ok.
As it was, we left, forfeiting the room fee. Reception told us they felt bad but that only Booking.com could issue a refund. We are now waiting 3 days for a response.

Lovely and peaceful.
Lovely and peaceful. Great for sea activities, walking and cycling. Maybe a bit too quite for some but there is always Setubal just a short ferry crossing away. Great restaurants in Troia and also in Comporta.

Troia has a fantastic beach.
Troia has a fantastic beach. Incredible facilities and a great natural environment where the whole resort is integrated.
A bit too family oriented for my taste, depending on what hotel or apartment you stayed in.
This place is very quiet and peaceful off season, but much more lively in the Summer months.
Needs a nightclub desperately!
I also love that Troia is so close to the great trendy village of Comporta and the fabulous beaches of Melides and beyond.

We loved the lime green car ferry trip as the start to exploring Troia. The harbour front was good for eating out, and Comporta for it's relaxed Ibiza vibe. The beaches were glorious but of course the Atlantic Ocean was freezing!
Ok guys, this is no ordinary hotel. It is like an Airbnb, in a beautiful spot. No breakfast (unless you take yours). No room service. No housekeeping. You take care of yourself and your team. We had three kids with us. Fortunately, we had taken some snacks and sodas with us. The place is beautiful but if you're looking for comfort forget it. You will have to cook and do your bed.
This place was perfect! Me and my boyfriend came for a week to play a poker tournament at the casino - Right next to the beach, tons of space (we work from home and had a set up as well), made great use of the kitchen facilities, perfect location! Will 100% be back!
located middle of the town Troia, walking distance to the beach, bars and restaurants, the casino and a small grocery store. Clean and well planed apartment with friendly and great hosts that came and showed us around the first night we arrived. thank you so much
Very comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen, good-sized balcony, good to have dining facilities in the sitting room, ample parking, easy to communicate with owner who was very helpful, great location for access to Setubal, Tróia restaurants and beach.
First off - the villa was beautiful, quiet and relaxing. The beds were the most comfortable and the bathrooms were huge. The outdoor space was relaxing. The location was very convenient to Comporta beaches, shopping and restaurants.
The design of the hotel is very unique and the view from our balcony was spectacular. The room was very spacious and comfortable . The staff were very friendly and helpful. Free car parking was below the hotel .
Beautiful Penthouse, right at gorgeous beach - truly a hidden gem!
Owner was extremely helpful, tons of tips for great food , ferries, trains ...
Highly recommend the accommodation and Troia as location
Quite good. Very personal service.
Customer focused! Good attention from the staff.
Off season accommodation - good the hotel was open and could take care of us.
Thanks for allowing pets (our dog)
The house was spacious for the family of 4 (2 small kids). The location was walking distance to the beach, and the area was peaceful. It is a good base to go to Comporta and also Troia.
Very conveniently located in the nice Troia Resort.
The owner Mr. Luis was very helpfful during all steps of the experience: preparation of our arrival, suggestions for restaurants, etc.
Troia is always beautiful, and these are the closest properties to the beach. They're spacious and quiet. The main hotel staff was very friendly. Excellent choice of toiletries brand.
Troia is an exceptional place and the hotel is good and well placed. It has a good breakfast and restaurant for dinner. The rooms are fine and the staff is nice.
