Scenic View corner Cafe was way too expensive! Only place we found for breakfast before my son's graduation and for biscuit and gravy that tasted like oil (my son said) and 2 scrambled eggs, 2 sausage patties, 2 toast and 1 can soda was $38..... This food was horrible for this price! The construction work on the highways and traffic, was the first time in 10 years since I've been up there and they were doing the same crap then, and I would not go back unless I absolutely have to!

Location was easy.
Location was easy. Spent 4.5 hours booking hotel and paying more than other hotel was and red roofs was extremely terrible conditions compared to cheaper hotel that was canceled prior, which was exceptionally frustrating! Also, 1 and only amenity requested, breakfast was not offered, wasn't even able to make a cup of coffee!

I wrote my review and sent you pictures of my room and the fluid on the chair. And you intentionally left that out of my review. You are deceiving your clients and basically putting them in danger. I wonder did someone report that same room to you before and you choose not to let people know how unsafe that nasty place is

For a city of this size the entertainment was very disappointing. There are one or two bars in the downtown area but overall its not a nice place to walk around after dark. Not much of interest to do and see apart from the Civil Rights route and related buildings which are by far the highlights of the city. If you are interested in sport, the wonderful Rickwood Field baseball stadium (the oldest standing ballpark in U.S.) is a real gem, just a few miles out of town.

I'm biased because I lived here for college, but there are local attractions live Vulcan the Iron Man are worth visiting over a few days. Five Points South is probably the hub of nightlife. UAB football isn't as big as Alabama or Auburn, but it's the south and well college football.
Luxurious linens and big comfy bed. Quiet for sleeping. Beautifully furnished. Lots of unexpected extras for our use should we need them, thank you. Very quick helpful response from management when room door entry code didn’t work, someone arrived on site to check it and we were issued new code. Well equipped kitchen. Also Pizza and pasta restaurant/ order to go located by front door of building, convenient and tasty. Washing machine great to have. And a free parking pass a great service thank you.
The staff were amazing! The hotel was very clean and comfortable. We were traveling north from Louisiana to Connecticut for a death in the family. This was our favorite hotel by far during our traveling. We also booked this same hotel for a night for our return trip this coming week. Breakfast was great, something for everyone in the family. The bed was quite comfortable. We would choose this hotel any time we're in the Birmingham area!
The area where the hotel is located is safe, has a lot of restaurants and shopping and is near the hospital where I'm working. The staff seem socially awkward in that they don't maintain eye contact and their voices have an irregular cadence but seem approachable. The shower isn't adjustable, but it has decent pressure, and the water gets hot. The black out curtains are a nice touch for night shift workers like me.
It was a lovely entrance the beds were very comfortable and most of the furniture was beautiful. Very friendly and very helpful staff. Close to UAB which is why I booked even though higher than my usual budget for hotels when I go to Birmingham. But it was a lot better for me and my kids and best friend who has a hard time driving at night and needed to be at hospital at 5am.
I can definitely recommend this hotel. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The amenities seem modern and all worked well. The breakfast was surprisingly reasonable for how much we paid to stay. Staff were all friendly. The location was convenient for many of Birmingham's main sites and we were very happy walking around the area.
The price, the great accommodating staff. And the super comfortable beds that have been the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. I make a once a year visit to Alabama and when I fly in and out of Birmingham to do so I without a doubt or hesitation stay at this hotel every year.
staff so friendly, helpful, prompt. place is beautiful, bed was amazing, we had stopped for the storms rolling in and The Kelly was the only hotel with a room. we had our kids and they accommodated them as best possible even though all rooms only had one bed. very happy.
(MCC) Weekend I didn't have to pay for parking, I could jus walk across the street to see the parade. Very close to restaurants, interstate, downtown perimeter. This hotel worked best for me for what I was in town visiting. I hope to get this location next year too.
Breakfast was a major disappointment. I was looking forward to seeing what a big beautiful Sheraton hotel breakfast would be like. It was the same if not less than what a discount hotel provides. Total rip-off at $20.
Earvin at the front desk was phenomenal...I've stayed at 4-5 star hotels all over and he is by far in my top 3 of concierges I've ever been associated with. Room was fantastic and pool was definitely relaxing
the artwork, spa and restaurant and it’s staff, the hotel itself was very beautiful. The experience was very epic. The host at the front desk wasn’t the best on details about the hotel.
Construction was ongoing, but I knew that when I booked the room. I simply set my alarm for 8:00 each morning to avoid being awakened by the noise.
India was especially helpful.
Convenient location to the Birmingham Airport. Airport shuttle was on time and easyto contact when we returned to retrieve our vehicle that we paid to leave at the hotel.
