The room had a great view.
Good convenient location in the city.
Restaurant staff were friendly even when they had to deal with the bull ants walking around our breakfast table.
Housekeeping was very efficient and professional.
Some of the front desk staff were friendly and helpful but they were in the minority and did not have a lot to work with.

Nicely finished, very clean and fresh. Seems to have recently been refinished and was very tastefully done. Friendly staff, but very limited. If you’re looking for a great place to sleep and get a meal or a drink at a very reasonable rate, I’d definitely recommended it, but I would not suggest staying here if you looking for concierge services or other amenities. It was exactly what I was looking for, would have liked to have stayed longer and spent time at the pub!
Located just minutes away from the BC Ferry Terminal and Nanaimo city centre, this hotel features a free, deluxe continental breakfast and guestrooms with a balcony. Free WiFi is provided on site.

Nice laid back atmosphere. Comfortable room, and I really enjoyed the bar area after a long day. Really nice team at the front desk also.
Located in Vancouver’s Harbour City, The Spot offers free WiFi and is within walking distance to a coin-operated launderette. This property is a 1.5 km drive from Nanaimo city centre.

Nanaimo was a little city that is spread far apart, but everything you need is 10mins away
The homelessness issue rears its head all around Nanaimo but not as aparant as Vancouver!
A lot of OLD buildings with a lot of CLOSED but there is a bunch of construction, so I am wondering if the city will soon rebuild?

Nanaimo is a cool little city.
Nanaimo is a cool little city. Depending on the goal of your trip renting a vehicle is recommended, since the city is spread out. As well there is much to see in surrounding areas. With the ocean, mountains and forest this community is surrounded by nature and beauty!

We had a great dinner at Firehouse Grill and fantastic coffee at Regards Coffee and the walk along the waterfront was nice but nothing super special, in all honesty it's kind of a dreary, quiet place that isn't very pretty. Maybe it has way more to offer than what meets the eye but I truly wouldn't care to stay there for more than a night passing through.

There was a couple of RATS outside by the pool but they stayed away from people. The hot tub wasn’t working either. But the pool was GLORIOUS and the room was clean to perfection. It was a nice place to sleep in!

I didn't see much of Nanaimo, just Petraglyph Park, before heading to Victoria. This side of Nanaimo was quiet, and I left very early. One great thing about South Nanaimo is its proximity to the Duke Point Ferry - a short drive. Also, the lack of nightlife meant my visit was quiet.
I would recommend visiting Petraglyph Park. It's not easy to find it, you have to be driving on the northbound side, but it's beautiful. I've enjoyed other aspects of Nanaimo in the past, especially the Woodgrove area, and I've found people there very friendly.

Lots of parking available in Nanaimo downtown, ( dont park on yellow band or else you get ticket) and walk around harbor and see sea plane takes off and landing. lots of trails to explore. you can catch fish on the shore.
We had an amazing stay at Antheas place. Anthea was really nice and thougtful. She gave us good recommendations for our visit in Nanaimo. In the morning she made us a delicious breakfast with fresh eggs from her own chicken. Also her two little dogs and her cat are so cute.
The room was really nice and clean. We had our own nice bathroom. The waterfront was only a 5 minute walk away.
10 out of 10 for this stay. We can definitely recommend a stay here.
This place is amazing. A gem in the middle of the city. When you step into the lobby iit’s like stepping into a grand hotel of the past. It is elegant. Very friendly staff. Wonderful restaurant with lixurious ambience . There is also a bar at the facility, which is well known as the whiskey bar in in the area. The rooms are big and comfortable and extremely clean and the price was very reasonable.
This is a classic style motel. Its beauty is it’s a short walk to the Nanaimo ferry to Vancouver and it’s clean. I found the bed very comfortable, as good as more expensive hotels. Staff is excellent, very friendly. I parked my Motorcycle out front of my room and it was safe all night. Just like the picture shows.
The property was right by the lake, pet friendly. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was included, but “to go” due to current health restrictions. Rentals for kayaks, pedal boat and paddle board were reasonable. There were two grills available near the dock for barbecues which guests can use free of charge.
The room has a kitchenet. It was spacious enough and the bed was comfortable. The location was far from Nanaimo downtown (25 mins drive approx) but walmart, Save On Foods etc. were on a 5 mins drive and Real Canadian Store was just across the street.
Overall, a nice place to stay.
The unit with spotless, new, well laid out. It was very secure with the codes for a front door and hotel room door. The shower was to die for. This hotel by far exceeded my expectations based on the inexpensive price. The reception staff was very pleasant.
Everyone there was amazing and super helpful. The location is walking distance to the Harbour, which was fantastic. The view was amazing and the hotel was clean, comfy & super affordable. We would definitely stay there again 🙂
Immaculate kitchen and common rooms. Very friendly and warm and welcoming people who were in residence there. Really exceeded my expectations all around and is so incredibly central to anything downtown Nanaimo has to offer.
We have lived in Vancouver Island for 47 years. Only the second time we have had reason to stay in Nanaimo. I will certainly recommend The Inn on Long Lake to friends. An peaceful oasis 8n the midst of strip mall city
I enjoyed the water views and being able to step out onto the balcony, as well as the chaise lounge from which I could put my legs up and look out onto the water. Also, a very green (eco) hotel!
Room was clean and comfortable. Great hot shower and good value with breakfast included. Conveniently located and it is close to the Ferry terminal and walking distance to Nanaimo Waterfront.
No breakfast.
Room was nicely done up & quite comfortable. The hotel is good place for a short stay located at the top of a hill on a major road, so it is a bit noisy. Bearable, though.
It felt personal and not like other “chain” hotels, I liked the hotel and the price fair for the region . I would recommend to any travellers passing through or staying in Nanaimo.
