I slept very well here and didn't want to leave at the end of our stay. Lovely, modern room, really yummy, locally sourced products for breakfast, location was very peaceful - we were just happy to sit in the garden and read, surrounded by the forest. Francesca is very friendly and has a very interesting other business. You need your own transport to get here really - around a 7 min drive into Arona but we did find pretty easily free parking in the centre. 3 nights we stayed and 3 nights we ate very well in Arona at Anticogallo, Contatto and La Ruga del corso. Definitely take the boat to Stresa - finding a parking was a nightmare!

Set in the hills above Verbania, Agriturismo Monterosso is a working farm from 1888. It produces its own meat, fruit and vegetables, which you can sample in the restaurant and buy to take home. Not sure how one can rate it below 10 – it’s been one of the best stays recently, if not all time. Owners are super friendly and nice in general, food is great and the place is so calm and fulfilling. Will definitely return

Beautiful place, with a nice view as it is 600m above the lake. Nice staff and good quality rooms! Perfect to start your hike to the surrounding peaks!

Set in Ticino Nature Park, Cascina Campaccio is in Taino, 5 minutes' drive from the shores of Lake Maggiore. This country-style house features a cosy lounge with fireplace. Beautiful and unique property! The owner of the B&B was super friendly and you can tell that he put a lot of love in the decorations of the whole house. The room was clean and spacious.
