Beautifully located in a small village of Malcantone, not far from Ponte Tresa. The view towards Italy is like a view from a jungle lodge. Part of the complex is designed as a Roman villa. The bungalows are in Spanish style. From simply furnished to very good. The food is very tasty. A short hour walk away is the only gold mine in Switzerland, which you can visit. Pure relaxation.

My stay at Zappa Lake Lodge was beyond enjoyable even if it was short. I felt comfortable, right from the welcome. The hosts and personell were very friendly and genuine, creating the whole pleasant vibe. The breakfast was of the highest quality and the service was excellent. The room was perfectly clean with a front view of the lake and Morcote. The location perfect, with direct access to the lake. A big thank you to Vincent (hope I wrote it right) for the boat ride and to everyone for the hospitality.

Simple accommodation yet full of character. Feels like a cozy old mountain lodge, yet amenities were modern. We arrived very late at night and the staff was there to help us. The whole set-up is straightforward. The bar lends fun and character to the place.
