Boasting an open-air bath and views of mountain, Onsen Guest House Tsutaya is a recently renovated ryokan situated in Hakone, 6.5 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and private parking is available on site. The accommodation features a lift, a shared kitchen and luggage storage for guests. The very kind response of the staff and the fact that I could enjoy the outdoor hot spring were very good.

Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. Guests can find a private hot spring bath and Japanese restaurant on site.

At the ryokan, all rooms include a flat-screen TV, fridge and wardrobe. Certain rooms feature in-room hot spring bath, while some rooms offer a kitchen with a microwave. It is a Japanese style inn with retro vibes. Their private onsen's water comes from the very hot spring source of Kusatsu and therefore you can experience the hot spring water without going to the public baths if you are shy. We mostly used them at night when the town's baths are closed since the inn's are 24/7 open. I would recommend to book a japanese style room as it has it's tatami and according decoration and together with the inn's yukata (there is an opt for a colorful one and geta to rent) it gives a more japanese experience. We liked that the inn had slippers for going outside which was convenient as the whole town is full with onsens (even ones that are only for feet) and therefore is more convenient to move in slippers. They have a game area with a lot of retro game (even arcade games) and Nintendo SFC System Video Game Console in the rooms. It may not be in the centre of the town (around 10 min walk for either yubatake or Sainokawara Park and open onsen) but is very close to it and also they offer pick up/drop off from the bus terminal. Staff were very friendly and helped with everything we needed. In our next visit to Kusatsu we are definitely staying there!

Air-conditioned rooms feature a tatami (woven-straw) floor, on which traditional futon bedding is spread to sleep in. Amenities include an LCD TV, fridge, a safe and yukata robes. All rooms have a private toilet and washbasin, while bathroom facilities are shared. Green tea sets with snacks are provided. Wonderful stay in a charming ryokan. Food was delicious (I would highly recommend taking half-pension) and service was exceptional. I found the onsen very relaxing, it is a very warm outdoor bath with cloudy volcanic water that opens on a beautiful bamboo garden. There's also an indoor bath. They offer private onsens but the public one was empty when I got there. Room was very comfortable and they provide everything you need

Main Dining Room "The Fujiya" serves French cuisine in an elegant space. Restaurant Cascade offers Western dishes, while Kikka-so serves traditional Japanese kaiseki dinners. A bar, lounge and bakery are available. the hotel facilities were great , the room was huge ; there is free shutteles from the hotel to the train station

Guests at the ryokan can enjoy an Asian breakfast. A bar can be found on-site. The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. This was easily the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Impeccable and luxurious through and through. Staff are 10/10 as is their bar and dinner

The property has mountain and quiet street views, and is 4.6 km from Hakone Open-Air Museum. The accommodation features a lift, a shared kitchen and luggage storage for guests.

The nearest airport is Oshima Airport, 87 km from the ryokan. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice, I fell in love with each of them. And the girl, who booked food for me, I wish her all the best, she saved my evening that day with her initiative

Providing lake views and a garden, Chuzenji Pension offers accommodation in a prime location in Nikko, within a short distance of Kegon Falls, Chuzenji Lake and Chuzenji Temple. It is located 16 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine and features luggage storage space. The ryokan provides rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Super friendly and helpful staff, everyone can speak English. Food is top-notch. The view from the room is magnificent.

The ryokan has a hot spring bath and full-day security. comfortable and quiet the food was amazing and the staff was so friendly and helpful

Boasting a hot tub, Hakone Miyanoshita Myojokan is set in Hakone. The 3-star ryokan features mountain views and is 6.2 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Offering free WiFi throughout the property, the ryokan is soundproof and has a hot spring bath. Very nice private and natural onsen bath. Nice rooms ans comfy beds. The owner is very kind and had good tips for our stay. We stayed 3 nights. There is an bus stop and train stop near by. There isn't any breakfast but we got Onigri from 7 Eleven which was good. The owner servers tea and coffee. We can recommend to stay in this Ryokan.

This 3-star ryokan offers a lift and full-day security. The ryokan has a hot tub and luggage storage space. Immaculately cared for with the kindest staff I have ever encountered. You immediately feel at home and taken care of with small touches like skincare in the bathrooms, to big things like the private roof onsen available for free reservation. Fabulous breakfast and we were on our honeymoon so they surprised us with a decorated dessert and Polaroid photo of us!! Over the top kindness that makes me recommend this hotel to everyone and can’t imagine visiting Japan again without staying here.
